This house, built of native limestone quarried on the farm, was one of five hired hand houses originally on the Hosmer Dairy Farm. Some of the hired workers and their families resided in these small houses. Only two currently remain on the farm: this Rock House and a concrete house west of the Creamery. The other three houses, one being a log house, once stood across Old Wire Road west of the Dairy Barn. These houses along with a garden spot and free milk were provided as part of the workers’ compensation. This house is now filled with period furniture and décor.
